• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK all you OLD Farts

Yes I know what Spud Nuts are,I have even eaten them, and my cousin tried to teach me Mumbly Peg but I never caught on. Spud Nuts were good

I remember the game and had a knife back then to play it.

The times have sure changed. Now, a knife brought to school will equal a shut down of the building and a talk with one or more of the school police officers. Add a suspension if they are really doing their jobs.

ahh, you guys make me feel young, i like that ;). I never carried a knife to school would have definitaly got in trouble and althouth spud nuts sounds familiar i dont recall every eating one, no idea what mumbly peg is but maybe it went by another name on the west ? :)

I always thought that packing a little mud on the cut would help it heal better and faster
so much for that idea.... fun game and YES every kid had a knife in his pocket and most girls
had them too but I don't remember them playing the game with them.
LOVE SpudNuts....

Mumbly-Peg... :D
EVERY kid in my Town owned a knife...
When we weren't cutting ourselves with them; we were playing mumbly-peg! nojoke
(A little dirt in the wounds; slowed the blood loss!)

Nope, called mumble peg in the west also. My dad gave me a pocket knife when I was 6. Been carrying one ever since. Used to be pretty good at mumble peg, I did not always run with good guys.

I've Arrived

Yes, I remember both fondly, and I guess now I'm officially an old fart. Actually, my late father and old fart role model, moved us all over West Texas among other places, but..wherever we wound up he always found and befriended the local donut shop operator. And the ones I remember best were Spudnuts. Oh, I carry a pocketknife as well, don't feel dressed without one.
