• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil

I have a 2012 RTS with 3500 miles. Just check my oil after riding and it appears to be low. What would be the best kind of oil to add?

The factory oil

If adding ................ use the BRP oil that comes from your dealer

if Changing oil then you can decide which one you want and there are many different ........... good and bad

I chose to stay with BRP Oil, several others use Amsoil, your preference

others have used other oil also, i could not say if the others are good or not because i don't know.

:agree: When you got to add oil, I'd use the same brand that is it now, don't mix brands. But at 3500 miles it may be time or close to change your oil anyway. Its always a good idea to change the oil in the spring before you put a lot of miles on it especially after setting up during the winter months. Just my opinion.

As long as it's rated for motorcycles/wet clutches you can top off with any oil you want. Brand will not make any difference. And really weight won't mean much for topping off either....don't over think it.

:agree:
Talking about oil in here is just like... :bdh::bdh::bdh:.
If it's got BRP oil in it right now; stick with that until you're ready for the next oil change...
It's simpler that way!
