• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

oil in the catch can...

I used Lamonts catch can idea a short time ago. In 200 miles after that install there was about 3/4s inch of oil in the can. The oil level is right on the mark when the check is performed as the book recommends.

Now here is the question... years ago I saw some screen that would allow gas to go through but water would sit there and not go through. I'm wondering if we installed this screen in the line would it stop "most" of the oil but still let the crankcase breathe?

If someone knows where I can get it I'll do a test and post the results.//KEN

I also have the catch can but I very seldom find any oil in the can. It usually is just a little residue in the bottom and not hardly enough to measure.:dontknow:

With the evoluzione Race filter you actually run the breather hose into the throttle body. Any oil that comes from the motor is split between the cylinders and burned off. At 500 miles I checked the plugs and they are perfect. I guess the trade off is a little more noise and performance, instead of a catch can or messy factory intake.

Vent

I just ran a vent to ground......no headaches......

That may be the best way to do it.

Opened my airbox yesterday and just a little film of oil, after 1000 miles of riding. My level is just below the full mark.
