Hello everyone. Was wondering what type and brand name motor oil do you use for the 998 Rotax engine. Do you use XPS brand or what other brands do you use?

Well....

There are many...I do use the XPS semi but many here use the Amsoil from BajaRon and other brands that meet the spec's in your manual. Others will give you a list to choose from...:thumbup:

My Spyder mechanic recommends the Can-Am oil blended.. So thats what I must pay$$$ for.. Cheaper than a NEW engine i RECON..

I use Castrol 5w-40 Full synth motorcycle racing oil. I get it from Amazon. $50 or so for 6qts.

We use and install Valvoline Motorcycle 4T full synthetic. Its a well respected oil and meets all BRP requirements. Its also readily available at many auto parts outlets including WalMart.
