• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil filter and side panels

I am new here but see that BRP has modified bothe the oil filter cover and the lower side panel as well as lengthened the oil change interval after the first mod. My problem is that I live in the republic of California and from what I read California dealers do not/are not allowed to provide those items:sour:. Is it possible to get them elsewhere at a reasonable price.:sour: Thanks for any help/advice.;)

I would try ordering them from an out of state Can Am dealer. It is my understanding that only dealers have the new longer filters and caps?

When I had my 600 mile oil change done I got the new oil filter cover. I was told we in California cannot change to the extended schedule due to C.A.R.B. laws that require the oil to be changed every 3000 miles.

I bought mine on Oct 2012, and was told I already had the new side cover. I don't know what the old cover looks like, so I can't tell the difference.

No idea where in So cal you are but my dealer has installed the new panels, filters, and caps.(Normally do my on maintenance but bit the bullet and had them do the oil change and panel installation - a one time deal). They have also adopted the new 4600 mile service schedule. Per my service writer the area BRP rep advised it was OK to do so. BIG  on that one.
