• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was charged the exact same for my first oil change I had done and will never do it again. I calculated it one time to see what it is to do it myself and I cant remember what it came out to be but it is considerably cheaper. Check out BajaRon. He is a site sponsor and a VERY nice guy to deal with. I get all my oil, seal kits, and filters through him.

Thanks for the tip, will do.

First service..!!

good idea to let them do it. After that by all means do it yourself. Kits run $55.00 to $65.00 plus you do the work. Do run it by and have them hook it up to the buds for code check and updates...

Did you go to Stamford Motorsports? I have found them to be very fair on their pricing, and Jeremy, the Spyder Tech knows these machines inside and out. Most of the money is spent removing & re-install Tupperware. When he does this, he looks at other things as well, just to make sure everything is OK. Chris, the service manager is also the owner, and I believe that he does everything he can to make his customers happy. He has helped me a lot, gave me a loaner last fall when they had my RT for 10 days, has helped me deal with BRP as well. All in all, a really good dealer. Hard to get an appointment as Jeremy is the only one who works on Spyders, but he is worth waiting for.

Yes I know the Stamford dealer very well, this time I went to Land And Sea in Waterbury, that's all they do there BRP products, very nice dealer, good comfort level with them. I might go to Stamford Motor Sports next time, most likely the same cost, just a shorter ride for me though coming from Norwalk.
