• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oil change specification from owner manual

I just ordered my shop manual, a day late of course, but in the meantime I wanted to see if anyone could help me with a couple of specifications.
I have found conflicting online information. The Torx sizes for the engine drain is a T45. Is the transmission housing is a T40 or a 6MM?
Second question is the torque settings, I found the torque setting for the 2 drain plugs in the manual so I am all set there, but the oil filter is not listed. Does anyone happen to have that handy?

Thank you in advance

Thank you Ann. I'm just buttoning up so perfect timing. However, I just discovered that the crush washer for the oil, drain plug was not in the kit........:gaah::gaah:

You can safely reuse your crush washer unless its really deeply scored.

Thanks

I also just found out that Home Depot carries them. Cool thing was within minutes of me asking about the washer, I had one mailed to me from a fellow spyder Ryder in Tennessee.
