OH well! The dreaded limp mode is back.

I thought I would take the bike out for a short ride, I got about 4 miles from the house when the bike downshifted from fourth to second and then first and limp mode. The codes are as follows: C003A,C006C,P0500 and P2159. With all the codes BRP should have added P-issed off. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

C003A = Wheel speed sensor #4 (R) failure -Damaged circuit wires, damaged wheel speed sensor or damaged VCM pins
C006C = VSS CAN message plausibility error - Communication intermittent/erratic and/or Check Sum Error
P0500 = Invalid or missing vehicle speed on CAN - VCM to ECM missing CAN communication, damaged circuit wires or VCM pins, VCM vehicle speed invalid or vehicle speed message is missing
P2159 = Vehicle speed not plausible - Vehicle speed correlation check failed

Did you do something around the rear wheel, like change a tire or clean? This usually means a wire came off the rear wheel sensor, but it could be a damaged wire or damaged VCM...or even a damaged sensor ring. Dirt or debris on the sensor/ring can also do it, but it takes a lot of crud. Could also be a failed sensor. There really is no need to be angry.

I now have all theses codes...what was the fix

Judging by what Scotty posted; I'd say that at least one of the three speed sensors is getting a clean signal back into the computer...
Crud in the pick-up
an unplugged or busted yikes wire...
So take a deep breath .:shocked:..
and take inventory around those pick-ups that are on the wheels.

Have to agree..!!

with the guru's above. Checking the sensor wires from sensor on back, toothed plate attatched to disk sensor mount will be the best starting point. One code can cause several more to pop up..good luck and do let us know...
