There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. OFFICIAL SPYDERFEST 2013 REGISTRATION April 24-28, 2013

I'm coming from Canada this is my first spider fest in my opinion you guys are having this way too early in the season we still have five to six feet of snow up in the UP of Michigan and my friends were bugging me to go snowmobiling instead! The weather calls for me riding in rain all the way to Chicago and then halfway to Springfield then there's rain on Friday in Springfield and in rain all the way back to Canada next week! I hope it's not that wet it's going to suck yes I have a good rainsuit! When the end of May or beginning of June make more sense maybe change the date for next year! Just my two Canadian cents eh!😃🏁🏁🙌😊🚲

FIRECAT, pay no attention to the forecasts in this country, they are never correct. We have a saying here in the Midwest, "if you don't like the weather, stick around. It'll change in 10 minutes". We wish you a safe and dry ride down. Glad to have you!

Think of it as a vacation from shovelling snow...

Do MO Po-Po Know?

Just wondering if the local authorities have been made aware of the Spyder infestation that will be occuring in a few days.

Oh....and I am sure I speak for many that want to give a great big THANK YOU to all those involved in setting SpyderFest 2013 up. You have done a great job, and I for one can't wait. I'll see you Wednesday afternoon.

Redbirdz66

P.S. Thursday night I will probably be AWOL from any activities. I gotta find a TV to watch Blues' hockey. LOL.

redbirdz66, we did have a ribbon cutting for Pit Bull's grand opening and it included the chamber of commerce and the chief of police. I asked him for some get out of jail cards. Figured we'd need them. Everyone in Springfield and Ozark has been extremely accommodating. We'll find out how good of a job we did once it's all over. Make sure that you are out at Price Cutter Field Wednesday evening for the opening ceremonies. That is also where the vendor village is located. See you there! We've been here since Friday to help get things ready in advance of the infestation.

Spyderfest Registration 2013

Where do we go to register or Sign In when we arrive in Springfield,MO for Spyderfest 2013?

This morning on the way to work I saw about 10 wet Spyders in West Memphis, Ar. While some (about 5 ) I think were just finished fueling up and heading back to the motel to hook up with the remaining Spyders that were still at the motel. I felt sorry for them as they were starting the day off with rain in the skies but by mid morning the rain had stop here and I'm sure they ran out of the rain, hopefully not too far west of West Memphis, Ar. I wish I was riding with you all but I couldn't get off work. I hope everyone arrive at the Spyderfest ok.

April Showers bring May flowers

I have to agree. After touring for hundreds of years (OK, ...not quite that long), I've found April to be a wee bit too early and unstable. Spyderfest should be about making "good" memories. Yes, most can tough it out, but it tends to be harder on many of our "senior" members. Hate to miss picking up my huge SS check due to a case of Spyderfest accompanied by double pneumonia.

That being said, I'm hoping Spyderfest folks will have a ball and stay safe.

It's not too easy on us new Spyderfest attendees either. Only ryding we have been able to do is through the rain to Pitbull and back to hotel. And I didnt have as far to go as many others. Clearly a lot of good, hard work by a lot of people getting dampened by the weather. Maybe a little later in the year would improve the weather odds......

Just got home and I'll chime in on the weather. Yup, it rained. On my way in on Tuesday and all day Friday. Wednesday & Thursday were great weather days. Friday was a great 'get to know Spyder ryders day'. I spent about 7 hours in the lobby of the hotel and ended up with about 20 new friends in just that 7 hours! For ME, ryding is only part of the reason I like SF. Honestly, it's about 40% vendor village; 40% seeing old friends and meeting new ones; 5% rydes; and 15% other stuff.

Not to get too psychological, but there is nothing that brings a group of people together like adversity. Common issues. While the rain WAS a bummer, it had a hidden advantage for some of us. Yes, my glass is usually half full ;).

I also had a great time despite the weather and feel rejuvenated after getting to see many of my SpyderLovers friends again. Thanks to all of the volunteers for putting on a great event, you are all tops in my book. :2thumbs:
