• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OFFICIAL SPYDERFEST 2013 REGISTRATION April 24-28, 2013

Hope we can bump into each other... you should be easy to spot with the red eyes :roflblack:

John

No, Bob is going to be the one with a circle of people around him trying to meet him, as he has never been to SpyderFest, comments on every post on SpyderLovers, so I think people will be asking for his autograph when they find out he is a "real" person!!! :roflblack:

Now I have to remember my steel toed boots as Bob and I get to dance in the parking lot of Comfort Inn!!! Maybe you should wear your helmet Bob, I have bumped heads while dancing at a Spyder event, SpyderLady can confirm that!!!

Bob, Joanie does NOT know how to do the stroll..... she was not even on venom when we bumped heads. You are in for quite a treat if you dance with her. Wear helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and steel toes:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Am I correct.....?

Since we're less that three weeks away from the 2013 Spyder Infestation of Springfield, MO., I wanted to get some info in one spot for all the folks who are coming in. I know those of you that have set this up have your hands full with the final preparations, but I thought this might help those of you not familiar with the area....

1. Everyone should go to PITBULL POWERSPORTS to get registered when they arrive in Springfield and to receive their welcome packet. Pitbull is located at 1332 North Glenstone Ave. in Springfield, MO. (Easy to find....across the street from Evangel University).

2. VENDOR VILLAGE will be at DUCK STADIUM, which is located just off of US 65. From Springfield, go SOUTH on US 65 (about 10 miles) to the MO State Hwy "J" intersection. Go east (left) on J, and turn on to the first road on the right, which is N. 17th. Street, which will take you to Duck Stadium, and Vendor Village.

3. The KICK-OFF PARTY will be Wednesday, April 24 at 6pm at FINLEY RIVER PARK in Ozark, MO. To get to Finley River Park from Springfield, go south on US 65 about 12 miles to the JACKSON STREET exit. Turn east (left) on to Jackson St., and go about a mile and a half and then turn left on to North 3rd. Street, whihc takes you to the entrance to the park.

4. On Thursday, April 25, the drag racing takes place after 430p at OZARKS SPEEDWAY (also known as OZARK RACEWAY PARK) in Rogersville, MO. To get to the speedway from Springfield, go south on US 65 to US 60. Take US 60 east about 15 miles through Rogersville to MO hwy "U". Turn south (right) on "U" and go about 4 miles to the speedway.

Again, I hope this helps. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Be safe and courteous to each other.

Will there be an auction this year, I tried to find it on the events page.

We are going to have a raffle for a children's charity. Please see my wife's post Charity baskets for Kids or something like that. It is a sticky at the top general discussion.

Have you considered perhaps having some sheets printed up that could be placed in the Hotels for us out-of-Towners? Something with directions or addresses to the venues... (you're gonna hate me for saying that! :opps:)

What thread count should those sheets be? ;)

Mint on the pillow?

I prefer 800 thread count Egyptian cotton and turn Down service around 8pm, and don't forget the down pillows please.
Didn't know if you were allergic to chocolate or mint so thought I would check before ordering it for you. :roflblack::yes:

:opps: The use of the word "Sheets" appears to have caused some humor to break out... :2thumbs: :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: (Holy sheet... imagine that!;))

Just so the Super 8 folds the beginning of the fresh roll of toilet paper into a swan. I'm sure that will happen!! Hey, don't mean to be off topic, Is there a Current List of registered attendees?

Spyderfest Ride to Eureka Springs, AK

Just got home from the last Spyderfest meeting and I am bouncing off the wall with excitement. KCPete and I will be leading the Spyderfest bike ride to Eureka Springs, AK and Christ of the Ozarks statue on Friday, April 26th, along with several other MOGANG members. If you've never been there, you will be blown away with the spectacular views of the Ozark Mountains, the beautiful Christ of the Ozarks statue, and the numerous TWISTIES and HILLIES! Eureka Springs is a town with amazing architecture and beauty. If you've been there before, you know what I'm talking about. I've posted some pictures taken by one of our MOGANG members last October for your enjoyment. Hope you plan to ride with us that day and enjoy a wonderful ride through the Ozark Mountains. Just be sure to have a full gas tank before you leave because gas stations are really spread out in Arkansas. See you at Spyderfest!!!

Can't wait! :dg1: Can't wait. :ohyea: Can't wait!

Just did a refresh on setting up the camper, and organizing things, seems last year I made sure that I would be able to ride for about 2 weeks without buying food, though it is all freeze dried and MRE's. Got that tingle in my spine, all ready for a long trek to Spyderfest, now all I have to do is set up the gps with all of the addresses, a little maintenance on the lights and then a bottle or two of patience.

So, is there an updated list?
