• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OFFICIAL SPYDERFEST 2013 REGISTRATION April 24-28, 2013

lessons learned from a previous event featuring Drag Racing

Some years ago, my organization tried something very unusual, for a bank, and featured "customer appreciation days" at Bandimere Raceway; a well known NHRA track in Denver. I rented the entire dragstrip for the event, arranged for rails and jet cars and some of Denver's fastest friends to exhibit there. My fear was that our crowd would set on their hands and choose to be only spectators (gotta worry about something).

The Bandimere staff, in a stroke of genius, routed our entire customer base, from the park entry as they came in, down the strip, and then on to the parking area. Having once driven down the track, concerns were then abated, and the rest of the night developed into a real free for all. Young vs old, men vs women, wives vs husbands, Cadillacs vs Camaros, it was a total unabridged success. Got the tee shirt to prove it.

I don't think the Spyder Lovers will be quite as shy to take a trip down the quarter mile, but it's still something management might want to consider anyway.

Looking forward to a great experience.

Does the goody bag include a snow shovel?

Another snow storm hitting tomorrow :banghead::banghead::banghead: At the current rate we may still have snow in 31 days :gaah:

Baymont

All the hotels on the spyderfest page are filled now (America's best did not answer the phone though so not sure about them). The Econolodge has a sister hotel - the Baymont a little ways away that is also honoring the $71 rates if you need. We managed to book there.

We're registerd at the Baymont as well. Didn't get the same rate because we wanted a king size bed, they only had a regular bed availble......last minute reservation but we are coming and can't wait

No shovels included. Won't be needed. April is supposed to be warmer than normal and prayers are out that ole man weather has fun out of wetness by then. We have over 12" of snow on ground and it is still snowing. To be in the 50's by the end of the week!

Are you sure??? :roflblack:

At some point, will there be a posting of the planned routes for the rides so that we can do some pre-planning before we get to SpyderFest?

A brief outline of the rides are on Spyderfest.com. To my knowledge routes will not be put out before Spyderfest, but will be in your packet when you check in

Yes you will sign in at Pitbull, get your packet, shirt, directions etc. getting close. I can't wait to meet and greet everyone!

Ok, what is the address of Pitbull so I can put a sticky on my phone?

This is my first SpyderFest so I'm pretty much clueless...

Thanks
John

I think there will be a lot of us walking around looking clueless! But with a look of joy on our faces at the same time!!! :ohyea:
