• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Went to a 4 Wheel Drive show this weekend and spotted this. Looks like fun to me.

I think the belt would get destroyed in short order. :yikes: The adventure bike market is still booming AFAIK so an adventure Spyder would make some sense. Ok, maybe a tiny bit! :D Light duty fire roads I'm talking. BTW, Ski-Doo is thinking that way with the 2016 Renegade Enduro.

Cool..!!

Though not the first coverted spyder. The chain drive is a must as they did here but the three wheel stance is more the problem. As long as they are running fresh ground no paths or ruts it will be a blast but on trails and paths not so much. Someone posted a camo one a while back very similar...

I stand corrected..it is a belt drive..:yikes:

Interesting. I am also in the same camp as those who question the use on more than fire roads. I don't see this one operating in the "bush" here in Alaska.

Maybe like a dirt track? that would be fun, but i certainly would not spend a can am worth of dollars on it. Everyone is right the belt would need to go, youd get a rock jammed up in there in 10 minutes.

Why would you think this would be any different then a 4 wheeler? I think you would want more ground clearance and deep rutted tracks would not be fun,but they aren't in a 4WD either. As to the belt a rock guard or enclosure could be put on a lot cheaper then fitting a chain. I like the idea.Adventure bikes are big sellers and most of them only give the illusion of real off road capability. They are too heavy and top heavy for very serious stuff.

For out in the rough I think I want either 2 wheels or 4 wheels. 3 just doesn't seem that it would be stable going over rocks or rough sidehill. Nope, the mountains ain't the place for a 3 wheeler.
