• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OEM trailer wiring harness malfunction

The picture is in this thread: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...s-other-lights-Part-1&highlight=trailer+hitch

Utah, the access panel is held by 2 screws and and two tabs. All of the above is right under the access panel. After market trailer harnesses plug into the connectors attached to the taillight assemblies.
Idaho, the access panel seems to be part of a much larger piece that requires removal of the passenger grab handle and a side panel. Before I go to that much trouble, I'd appreciate it if you would provide more of an explanation as to how it can be removed as easily as you are saying. Thanks.

It's only two screws. The panel slips under the body plastic and into a lip on the inside corner of the passenger hand grip. It takes a little bit of juggling to get it in and out. The tightest squeeze is getting to the back screw. I use a short torx driver bit and turn it with a 1/4" gear wrench.

Eureka, I found it! It's a Hopkins module and it was under the seat. This is what the dealer installed when I bought it new, so I'm assuming this is what BRP sells and has its dealers install. Now to trouble-shoot it.

Okay, I've checked the module wiring input and output. The yellow wire (left turn signal) has power on the input but nada on the output. So, it appears the module is faulty. I'll let the dealer replace it under warranty when I get back to our home up north. Many thanks to you all.

I'll take some pics of mine and send them to your smart phone .......... when I did my Mod I had the entire panel out ....so I wasn't concerned about cutting or nicking any wires ..... maybe it can safely be done without removing the panel ........ Mike

Mike asked me to post these pics for him of the underseat access panel, which he modified to make easier to remove as needed

Why not have Moto zoo replace it? Pretty easy job.
Yeah, I guess I could. When I get back from this next trip I'll see how much they are backlogged in the service department (hate to waste the nice weather!).

How are you doing Joe?

Corrected number squence

Mike asked me to post these pics for him of the underseat access panel, which he modified to make easier to remove as needed (I think they're numbered right to left as 1,2,3,4)

I am sending ......#1- after cover ( that I cut ) is cut as you see it is already trimmed on three sides ...I cut it at the OEM joint which is closest to the Pass. handle ..... you will end up with just a flat piece of plastic ......Pic#2. I added a piece of thin sheet metal ( pic is the piece upside down ), it shows the small pass seat plug ACCESS hole ...... pic #3. - is what it looks just before you put it back in/on the large OEM flat panel ..... pic#4. this was taken from the left side above the pass. handle, it shows what the OEM wiring and connectors looks like under that blk piece .... You may be able to cut that piece like I did, but I wouldn't without taking the piece off , jmho ......
