• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This is for those searching in the future for a replacement can am spyder RT OEM windshield for the Spyder RT series 14-19. The OEM windshield that came with the spyder part number 219400415 has been discontinued and there is “NO REPLACEMENT!” The only option is to install a 2020 windshield which is 24 inches tall rather than 25 inches tall. It is also 1.5 inches narrower on both sides than the old stock 25” tall windshield. The new dual vent system on the 2020 series creates a ton of wind on your face when fully raised. So awesome, if you like the windshield totally raised on hot days. No questions, if riding in the rain, water will flow through the vents and directly into your face. (This was experienced this morning in fog) The 1 inch shorter and narrower design seriously affects the passenger if riding 2 up. I have confirmed this with both my dealer and at cheapcycles that part 21900415 is discontinued and no replacement. I drove with this windshield this morning at 40 degrees and it was very cold on the face fully raised. The old series blocked all the wind, the new 2020 series creates a huge draft due to the vent placements and different dash setup. The only option in replacing the windshield is to purchase a F4 standard 25” windshield with no vents to have what did exist on the previous model.

On a side note, if you choose to purchase an aftermarket windscreen (I highly recommend F4), ANY of the RT windscreens will work on ANY model year. I have (well, had) 2 F4 windscreens for my 2021 RT. One was a stock height, wide, tinted w/a vent. It worked beautifully and I'm sure it would have worked just as well on a previous gen RT.

It got to 66 yesterday and sunny. Took my wife for ice cream 45 minutes away. I removed the 2020+ windshield and installed the old scratched one. Dealer let me pick it up yesterday morning. Wife could tell instantly. Already put order in for new F4 25 plus added width. The scratches didn’t really bother me because 20 minutes in it was covered with bugs. Where did they all come from in one day is beyond me. Just letting everyone know the replacement 2020+ windshield mounted on the old series 14-19 is terrible and I mean terrible. Might as well run with no windshield. The dash projects it straight into your face with the raised large vents when fully raised. Plus one more thing……if you mount your GoPro on front das with new 2020+ shields you get an awesome goggle look. It’s like looking out an Ironman helmet. YUK!

I have one off my 2015 RT if anyone wants. Free just pick it up in sparta nj

I have one in good condition. Off my 2015 RT limited . Free if you can pick it up in Sparta NJ

Show Chrome also sells a very nice shield that is about 3-4" wider than stock. That is what I put on my 2014 RT when I had it. Taller was not needed for me, I just wanted wider. There are also other good deals on Ebay.
