This is some stories from the Maggie Valley Owners Event.

We stayed at the Applecover Inn. Wednesday night and Thursday night several spyder people sat on the rockers and chewed the fat and told stories while watching the spyders go by.

Thursday we went on the falls ride... we got a little behind the group after eating lunch but found our way back to the gas station we stopped at on the way in. I was trying to use my phone to navigate back. There were two spyders in the station and one had is GPS so we joined up with them and when it started raining they pulled over so we could get our Frogg Toggs on. We went through two pretty heavy rain storms by the time we got back to Maggie Valley. We went to the fair grounds but we were soaking wet from the waist down because we only put on the jackets so we went back to the Inn. About 6pm we went back to find the parking lot was full of spyders and a lot of people in line for chow. We started to chat with the couple from Greensboro NC. It's amazing how spyder people will just start taking to you like they knew you. We ate with George and Vicky and had a good time.

Friday we run into George and Vicky again and before we leave I get him hooked up with Lamont for some Spyder Emblems and we decide to meet up Saturday at Joey's for breakfast and the ride to Lamont's. After some riding on the Parkway we eat dinner and end up on the porch rocking away and chatting with Roger from room 15 and John and Roger from room 17. Roger 15 told us about the couple in room 14 heard a clunk when riding to Maggie Valley and after taking a cover off noticed the bolt that holds the front belt pulley on was missing. Friday the go to the tech tent and the tech looks at it and says you can't drive it like that. Gets his phone out and make some calls... leaves for a bit and comes back with a bolt that he took from one of the demo spyders and installs it NO CHARGE! That's something you don't see much any more. So rocking away Roger, Roger, and John decide to join up for the ride to Lamonts.

Saturday morning we are getting ready to head to Joey's for breakfast and Doug from VA decides to join us for the ride. We all have a nice breakfast and Roger 15 has made the trip from Maggie Valley to Lamonts before so he takes the lead. We ride the Rattler and when we get to TN the bridge is out on 25... John 17 looks on his GPS and says turn left here and follow the river. We finally make it to Lamonts and have a good time visiting. We left just before the BBQ to put some miles behind us and try and make it to Nashville.

We put 1350 trouble free miles on the spyder and had a blast with a bunch of fun people. BRP did a whale of a job and spent a ton of money putting on this event. They announced that 1000 registered and 800 spyders were there... We met old friends and made new friends and had a good time.

George & Vicky were not on SpyderLovers but I showed George where it was at. I think John 15 from AZ is on SpyderLovers as well as Doug from VA, I'm not sure about John and Roger 17... maybe they will see the thread and chime in.

We enjoyed riding and visiting with you but I'll decline the offer to visit DC, I don't like big cities.

Hi JT, This is Dennis from # 14. We did indeed lose the bolt in the front sprocket. I realized it Thursday afternoon and thought that our riding was finished.
I called Mountain Motorsports to see if I could enlist help from their techs. I spoke to a gentleman named Micheal who was very helpful but could not get through to the techs at the time as the phone recieption was bad for them. I decided to ride down to the fairgrounds and it was after 6:00 pm and didn't expect the techs to be there but they were.
I explaned my situation to the lead man and he told me that I couldn"t ride it like that. He was really concerned and told me to go ahead and eat dinner and he would leave the key in it. He found a sprocket bolt and fixed my spyder. Later I talked with him in the dining tent, he told me it was fixed and I didn't owe anything. I thanked him and his tech, I didn't catch his name but they really saved our trip.
THANK YOU BRP TECH SUPPORT.

Hey Dennis,

I didn't catch your name at Maggie Valley but I'm glad to get the story straight from the horses mouth so to speak. I think it was an amazing thing for the BRP tech to go out of his way to replace the missing screw so you could continue your ride. It seems BRP cares more than most folks realize...

Now we only need Roger from AZ and John and Roger from Maine to chime in and reveal there spyderlovers handle.
