• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Odyssey PC680 question....

I have a 2008 spider and just removed the first PC680. When I went to install the 2nd PC680 I noticed it doesn't quite fit all the way in the battery tray. Now I'm wondering if the first PC680 actually fit all the way in the tray. For those with a PC680 on a GS, does it fit all the way in the tray or is there about 1/8" that sits on the front lip of the tray?

I have the PC680 but I havn't been in the battery compartment in a while. If I recall it is supposed to stick out some for the tension strap to go across the top holding it in place. I know for the sure the original Yusa battery stuck out of the battery box as well. So I think what you are seeing is normal.

The original OEM battery slide down behind the front lip of the battery tray and of course the rubber strap attached to the front and back of the tray. The spyder is back together with the rubber hold down strap in place. The PC680 rests just on top of the lip and not behind it. I doubt the battery will be going anywhere. I was just curious, which is why I asked.

Is the battery bottomed in the box? The reason I ask is I remember changing my OE battery for a Dekka battery on 09 GS. At first I thought the battery must be a little taller because it fit just like you describe. I just pulled it partway out and slammed it in with a little more force and problem solved.

Little checking..!!

There is a overlap metal lip at the back of the battery box and to make even the oem battery fit you have to lift the back end of the battery a bit. This is not easy the battery is heavy and hard to tilt at that angle. At least that's the way on my 2012 RS...
