• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

odd shifting problem

My SE-5 has a strange issue I this is the GPS, when I down shift into 1st from 2nd and I hit the throttle it revs like its in neutral. Its inconsistent and I changed the oil and both filters thinking that it was a oil issue.

But it did it today too, I shift into neutral and then into first and its fine and its not slipping, I was going to see if rays sport and cycle was messing with the GPS when looking for the oil leak they charged me for and did not find.

Any suggestions on aligning it or is it something else?

I just turned 60K for miles and there are 40 or 20 k on the clutch.

Hmmmm sounds familiar...

.... but in reverse. I had that with upshifting. It'd get hung up and not let me upshift. Was all over the map and inconsistant. Then I got the "check transmission" love note. ;) It'd hold then go out and let me shift after a few.

I took it in to have the BUDS hooked up. It wasn't anything obvious. HOWEVER, when I worked my shifter the computer only registered half of the upshifts.

The part (the paddle shifter unit) was bad. It cost $144 plus installation.

I'd have it hooked up to see if the computer is registering any errors. If it doesn't, show them how YOU shift and see what it shows. As it turns out, if they shift it hooked up then they'll be more concentrated on it than you may be driving.

Good luck. I know how frustrating it can be. Hope I helped some at least.

thanks bud. So the arm was bad or the part that attach's to the HCM?

I had to get a new one of those and had to run a new bolt thru it to keep it from falling off.

Forgive my ignorance. It's the paddle and the whole box that it's connected to. It mounts with bolts and literally plugs in. I was shocked I thought they'd be replacing a part IN the box. Not the whole dang thing.
