• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Odd - no threads on cruising playlists - until now!

I have 47 songs in my playlist so I won't bore everyone by listing them but some of the artists are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Cream, King Crimson, Enya, Florida Georgia Line, Jethro Tull, Coldplay, Traffic, Yes, Moody Blues, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Grand Funk Railroad, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kenny Chesney and Chris Isaak to name a few.

No playlist for me. I put the phone in play alphabeticly and advance past any I'm not interested in if such comes up. Makes it all pretty random. Must be very careful if certain tunes (like Sultans of Swing) come up just as we hit a twisty section.

Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack , or Volbeat
GOD ! I must be OLD I never heard of any of those..... :sour:

I have several stations programed on Pandora, but my favorite is Stan Rogers Radio. I like folk songs story songs maritime, celtic, Irish, Civil War etc. It's not for everybody but it is a good change of pace and something you may not have heard very much of.

I mainly listen to albums on my iPhone. Van Halen 5150, Ratt greatest hits, Night Ranger’s greatest hits, Asia, etc. Mainly 80s. And I play it loud.

I have 5600 songs on a memory card in my phone which I usually have on random play to my Sena bluetooth headset. I can also stream Sirrius XM, where I have 8 or 10 go-to channels. Mostly along the lines of Tom Petty's Buried Treasure, Underground Garage, Deep Tracks, Faction Punk, Outlaw Country and other mostly non-mainstream non-hit channels.

Back in the day before fourms there were newsgroups, and I was a member of the Harley Email Digest. Folks would email in and twice a day we would get an email of all the emails and responses. There was a thread about music much like this one, so I made up a tape (remember cassettes?) of motorcycle songs. The only requirement was the song had to be directly motorcycle related. The list:

1952 Vincent Black Lightning - Richard Thompson
Speedy Motorcycle - Mary Lou Lord
Wanted Dead Or Alive - Bon Jovi
Biker Like An Icon - Paul McCartney
Motorcycle Irene - Moby Grape
Leave The Biker - Fountains Of Wayne
Spike - Tom Petty
The Other Kind - Steve Earle
Long Lonesome Highway (Then Came Bronson Theme) - Michael Parks
Motorcycle Cowboy - Merle Haggard
Motorcycle Blues - Jesse Colin Young
Motorcycle - Tico & The Triumphs
Angel On My Bike - Wallflowers
Motorcycle Rider - Icicle Works
Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf
Made In The USA - The Wright Brothers
Motorcycle Song - Arlo Guthrie
Unknown Legend - Neil Young
Eye of the Hurricane - David Wilcox
Roll Me Away - Bob Segar
Black Denim Trousers - The Cheers
Midnight Rider - Allman Brothers
The Wild One - Marty Stewart
Rockin' Motorcycle - Jesse Al Tuscon & The Lumberjacks
Motorcycle Emptiness - Manic Street Preachers
Bad Motor Scooter - Montrose
Ride With Me - Steppenwolf
Leader Of The Pack - Shangri-La's
Motorcycle Mama - Sailcat

I had another one with only Harley songs, and there are a _lot_ of those. I only found 1 song with trikes, and only 1 about Goldwings.

Another one to check out especially if you want to catch some new local and Indy metal is Rock 98.9 and no it isn't a "radio" station they just chose the name out of radio tradition.

Update 12/3/2021: deleted link as this "station" has stopped streaming and the domain is up for sale. :gaah:

Amazon Prime downloads for me..I either Bluetooth to earbuds, my Sena, or to the bike....all depends on the weather and the helmet choice for the ride. A lot of times I'll hear a song I like and then download the album...It usually turns out well. I've got over 2k songs that I just let run. I'll probably never hear them all...LOL

I have over 65gig and 11,000 tracks. Mostly 60's, 70's and 80's. Still have not listened to them all
