• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have owned Harley's for many years. And when you purchased their top of the line bike, Ultra Classic, it came with the CBradio with intercom and one headset, cd player.
I paid less for one of the Harley's than the new spyder and got more goodies. $1000.00 plus for the cb radio and $200.00 each for a headset. BRP may want to think about some of their pricing issues. I really like my spyder, but some of the extra goodies are priced extremely high, compared to stock items on another brand of bike. $1500.00 for a 15k service. Someone needs to put the crack pipe down.

Just my pea brain observation.

How many wheels did the Harley have? Price the Spyder against the Tri-Glide and see how the $$$$$ compare.

Mr. Belly says $1,500 for the 15,000 mile check. Is this correct? I only have 8,000 on BR1, but ......$1,500??

Perhaps this would include a valve check plus a bunch of other stuff....which I won't do unless the Spyder indicates it.

There is no such thing as a 15000 mile anything any more.
Might look at the latest letter ref 4600 mile oil changes and 9300 mile inspections. There are a couple things thrown in at 14000 miles and around 28,000 - think that's right. There are many different thoughts on the valve check, I had mine done at 12,000 (old schedule) because I got a mx plan from the dealer, being an old and arthritic/back impared guy. Guess I'll let em do the next valve insp under the pre-paid thing, at 27,000 or so. If my bike continues to run as perfectly as it has been for the next 22 months, the 3 year mx plan will cover it through 45,000 miles instead of the original 36,000 or so (6 inspections, 3 at 6,000 and 3 at 9,300 miles. Plus the 6 interim oil changes at scheduled miles, which vary due to the above extensions. This figuring is making my head hurt or maybe it's the peanut butter sandwich for Sunday lunch.
