• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Model: 2013 ST limited

there is an O ring on the dipstick shown as part #02-65 which seats on at the top of threads on dipstick shown as part #02-64. both part numbers are shown in the can am parts motorcycle parts catalog

MY QUESTION IS: when replacing the dipstick to check oil level should the O ring be on dipstick?

thank you,

Here's the thing..!!

It makes little difference. That Oring makes it hard to measure. I remove it to make my measure. Your oil level only needs to be on the stick full is a comfort /safety zone for folks that don't check there oil regularly...

Make sure you check the oil at operating temp. do not check oil cold it will lead to overfilling the oil

I leave it on just cause it should be on the dipstick all the time. just screw into until lightly tight and remove and check.
