• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NYC CONGESTION PRICING HAS NO M/C EXEMPTION

I have been riding for 50 years and also waiting for motorcycles/scooters to be recognized as a viable form of transportation in the U.S. for the same 50 years. :dontknow:

I thought this was interesting and upsetting

We are a minority.
One that nobody cares about.
Laws do not have to be fair.
Minorities are trampled upon all the time.
Join the AMA and bring this to their attention.

BUT.....a bike doesn't take up THAT much less space in traffic than a car does.
There might be a fair case for no exemption or discount.

I see in the picture that there are MCs all lined up on one side and full-sized car spots on the other side. How about the MC guys getting together and starting to park their bikes in the bigger places, one bike to a parking place. Maybe someone might get the message.....? Naw, I doubt it. Jim

:agree::gaah: ever ongoing arguments, we pay all the same requirements: license, registration, inspection, insurance, ect, ect & are supposed to qualify as a full vehicle in a lane :lecturef_smilie:(no side by side riding only staggered) but only when persons in charge decide it's good for them. :banghead::barf: so the legal arguments continue. (Related)One hot topic with my local A.B.A.T.E. Are the failureto yield fines, there are some notable discrepancys we are trying to amend

Now the problem is you're assuming TPTB are actually interested in reducing traffic in Manhattan. They're not. They're just interested in the money.

Show me the money.....

It's all about the money. There will be many that will go for the motorcycle, scooter etc and the city does not want to loose out on all the revenue. No nevermind about the traffic....

for me i prefer taking the indian to manhattan just because of parking, the mayor wouldn't be smart enough to understand i am probably
not the only one who thinks that way.

Bingo.jpg Just another excuse to move more money from your pocket to theirs. When they find a way to extract virtually all of your money, and find it still not enough, you have Venezuela!
