• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

now this is fishing

Myself? I prefer using fishing tackle. I did have to tackle a 50# King Salmon when my son brought it to shore on his first AK fishing excursion with me.

I forgot the net, and the fish was flopping so hard that I had to tackle it. Was afraid the fish would break the line and head downstream. That impressed my son--coming from MN where a lot of the "big ones" are about 5# or so.

Did you notice blood on the arm of the "fisherman?" Makes me wonder if there were a couple "practice runs" going on here. :dontknow:

I think that I'd rather use a .38 special...

I did have my sleepinator (fish billy) along, but had help bring in the fish before I could get to the billy.

We were to busy watching my son pee his pants when he latched on to and fought the king. Kodak moments for sure.

Bummer..!!

that monster became the one that got away...:roflblack: bet he is glad it was recorded...

Theres a place down in the Keys called "Roberts" IIRC. You buy a bucket of bait and wait for the tarpon to grab it. I didn't get one to chomp on my arm that far, but I did get some skin taken off my knuckles. It's tuff not to react by jerking your arm back when the water explodes. Good thing Tarpon have a sandpaper like mouth.
