• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now THIS could get interesting...

So I stopped at a local Harley dealership yesterday to "peek over the fence" a bit... :opps:
Oh! They've coped our new Cognac color with something they call "Amber Whiskey"

Anyway; I asked the salesman about their Rushmore engines...
They've liquid-cooled the heads in an attempt to end the complaints about all of the heat emanating from those cylinders...
They've hidden two radiators down in the bottom of the front fairings...
What do you think might hapen next? :dontknow:

The HD instructors all talked about HD having to eventually go to a liquid cooled system because of EPA restrictions. They have had the VRod for awhile now which is liquid cooled and they recently introduced a 900 and 500cc based on the Revolution (VRod) engine. While I don't see myself going over to HD, I would never underestimate their marketing abilities. I am pretty sure that if they put their minds to it they could market bovine/hay byproduct as a perfume and sell it.

Two front wheels? :roflblack:

Saw several 2014 Harleys on a toy run today. And one custom HD done by Eddie Trotta. Man that was a nice ride. And, a Ural with a side car. Problem is, I can't get the pictures off my phone.

Bob, I saw that new HD color yesterday and wondered how it compares to the BRP Cognac. I thought it looked darker than the pictures I've seen of the cognac.

Can't remember the exact version: To copy something is a form of flattery. Way to go HD. Finally got my copy of December Rider magazine with an article about the new Spyder RT. They also did a quick test of the HD Sturgis. More to come I guess.

Harley did a 3 wheel project- two in front. I believe it was in 06. Not sure how to post links, but if you google "penster" and go to the Harley links you will see their version.

Look at mine

Has anyone noticed how close the Roadster Red and black color scheme is to the classic HD orange and black? I had friend visit just yesterday and comment about how much my spyder looks like his sportster. If a color scheme looks good on one machine, why not another??

Just sayin'............

Car manufacturers do it all the time. Porsche has a cognac color on the Boxster. Viper red is used to repaint a lot of '60s/'70s model muscle cars.
