• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not sure Why?

Quite simple...

They mention the 1200 RT. Guess the researcher failed to see that there is also BRP RT. They really should correct it...:banghead:

. . . . . since it is from a NEWS source, and they are always completely accurate, BMW has bought BRP. Case closed.

Tom

OMG! :gaah: When the :cus: did this happen? :dontknow: That means service costs will double because BMW mean's "bring more wampum". And we will be subject to stop riding your bike recalls. :hun: :banghead: We complain about BRP prices. Go look at BMW prices. I know, I had 3 of them. If it was on the internet it has to be true. :roflblack::roflblack: Tom :spyder:

....but BMW makes a trike. One was at Spyderfest last year.

Actually they don't. Swiss company Grueter and Gut Technik, or GG for short, build the Taurus but it does have a BMW
1300 4cyl. motor which makes around 175 bhp. I saw it at SF last year; owned by a guy who was up from Florida.
Hugely expensive!! If they were the same price as the Spyder I'd have one! Switzerland is closer to me than Canada!!;)

Proof readers and/or fact checkers ??????
One of the local TV station mis match aircraft names and photos and we live right outside a a USAF base.

I believe RT and GT have been in the names of several vehicles, GT meant Grand Tuirimso and R was something Turimso

Looking on Google news and came across this. Considering it is about a BMW recall, not sure why they are showing pictures of 3 wheel vehicles?(and no BMWs)?:dontknow::dontknow:

The picture is advertisement. If you click on the "show caption" on the lower left of the picture text about the Spyder comes up. There is a scroll arrow on these pics also so you can scroll through various pics of machines to include the Polaris.

The article is not saying the Spyder is a BMW.

Sort of . . . .

. . . . . the picture is one of those photo-listicals of motorcycle "stories" they have done in the past. There are pictures of all sorts of motorcycles (and articles) if you click through them.

OK, I will absolve them of poor reporting and fact-checking in this case - it is their Web Composition & Presentation skills that suck ( and lack of layout and editorial review ) and just turning articles over to the robots to post. They are not wrong, just sloppy.

BMW does not make a trike. GG Taurus makes a trike that is powered by a BMW engine so if it is an engine recall it would affect GG Taurus in addition to BMW products. The unit at Spyderfest was a GG Taurus

I agree, and I did go through all the pics and the captions, just found it strange and as you stated sloppy!
