• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not Seeking Replies. Just Venting.

In January, I stripped the wheels, sprocket, side castings, floor boards, rider pegs, and brake pedal off my scoot and sent it off for chrome plating. The weather was bad and the chromer didn't receive my stuff until February 2nd. Their, invoice, dated February 3rd estimated four to five weeks delivery. Tomorrow starts week twelve! While I enjoy reading the posts on a daily basis, they sure make me miss being a true part of things.

I'll be talking with them tomorrow and asking them to return everything, chromed or not. I'll see you on the road. I might be the guy with one wheel chromed and the other not. ...Don

Chrome

I hate chrome and I'm just going thro the reverse process, I've done mine a bit by bit each week for the past 4 weeks and will be delivering the last part to Pro Coat tomorrow.
They have never let me down and usually turn the parts around in 4 days.
So far I have had both my front wheels, stock exhaust tip & heat shield plus any nuts and bolts powder coated in matt black.
I purchased a TBR carbon exhaust slip on system last week and had the heat shield and mounting band done the same, tomorrow is the turn of my last piece which is the stainless steel pipe that joins the stock cat to the carbon canister.
Everything on my ST Ltd will then be black or white with the exception of a lot of silver nuts and bolts that I will eventually get round to painting my self.

Hope it all works out for you and your chrome looks good.

that sucks

unfortunately there are businesses out there that just don't give a damn when it comes to their customers

very weird way of staying in business.....:banghead::banghead::banghead:

You can't..!!

just vent or post without replies..for that you need to fly a banner...:roflblack::roflblack: Sorry to hear your still partless. They should have been up front and told you they could not meet your time schedule and given you the oportunity to go elsewhere..:gaah:

Deadbeats .....

Should you have a problem getting things back. You are more than welcome to any or all of the parts removed from mine. Just shoot me a PM.

I hate it when stuff like that happens, I'm honest enough to say I have no patience regarding my vehicles. If they say they will have it done by then they better really have it done by then. Off course raging doesn't help anything but as you mentioned venting doesn't harm anyone, haha~

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that all goes well from here on out...

 I didn't say anything...
But if I did; it would have been something like:
"Dang! 12 weeks... :gaah::cus::gaah: :banghead:"

Update

I contacted the plating company yesterday for an update. The sprocket is the last piece not completed. The chrome bubbled and had to be stripped and re-plated. Expected completion date is Monday, April 28th. That makes delivery thirteen weeks after receipt - IF they are successful.

This not a reply . . . just me, making an observation . . . If I went through this, I'd post the name of the business after I had my parts back, so others would know they (1) make unrealistic promises, to get your business or (2) they are incompetent, and folks should steer clear of them!
