• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NOT HAPPY WITH MY SPYDER!!!

First dealer I went to didn't do everything they were supposed to during the update and I had the same results as you. No matter how I adjusted JB it didn't help. Tried another dealer they redid the download, recalibrated everything and cleared out all of the fault codes, and now it runs great again. I would have dealer try again if it was me.

Rode mine for the first time today after the update. Surging, sputtering in 4th gear 3500-4000 rpm(real bad). So I need to have the update done again? And tell them to reset codes, I don't know much about all this stuff, I just ride it. Can I get some help in what exactly I need to tell them when I take it back in. Desperate to get it running like before, all I have is a Hindle, nothin else. Thanks Guys.

yea.. there mech.... gave me lots of info on whats been going on.... they where the ones to do the update on my spyder..... i called land and sea... they seemed alittle more friendly and informative....

Had my update done at Gargano's by Bob Jr. about 500 miles ago and have had NO issues with my :spyder:

How long have you had your :spyder:? Meaning, how many miles?

It might not be the update, rather your :spyder: may still be breaking in. I experienced sputtering, surging, backfiring, etc. (Hindle exhaust) during the first 600 hundred miles UNTIL I got her up on the highway and rode her hard and steady. Some of this may have been due to me being new to riding :dontknow:

Just a thought. Maybe we'll be able to hook up for a ride some time and compare notes ;)

Called my dealer this morning to see if I could get a response and she called BRP while I was on hold. They seem to be blaming the problems on aftermarket stuff being put on, what gets me heated is I have the hindle, now isn't that their product??? I can uderstand if you bought stuff from other companies but COME ON, your own product. Saw on BRP site that they are very aware of complaints, fingers crossed for fix soon.
