• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I found out today that the spyder is very cool but it's not a seadoo! Want for a small ride and came across some water over the road it was only an inch deep or so, so I want right across. Next one I came across was about 2 inches deep and so I went. Now the next one was deeper and I slowed way down and in I want....I made it half way and it got a foot deep. To late I could not stop so on I want long story short Brp roadside assistance was great! Pulled it apart and cleaned it all up pulled spark plugs cranked it over to get all the water out and she runs good. I will check the oil tomorrow and replace air filter and go for a ride. I got lucky that I did not get hurt and that I did not hurt my spyder so spyders are not seadoo's!!20150714_130037.jpg20150714_143701.jpg

Hydro lock is never a good thing that is why I did not try to start it. Tow truck ride home removed all water and got real lucky!

Yikes..!!

always happens when you let up on the gas. As long as you can keep her bubbling your good till you hit the electrics. Easier to do on a manual...glad it was minor and your duck is back on the road...:roflblack:

This is not a lecture to our first poster. Just food for thought.

When I used to do safety training, we taught that any water deep enough to hide lane markings is too deep for any vehicle to pass through. It's a simple way to avoid the "I think I can make it through" syndrome.

On the Bright Side...:D The bike wasn't harmed, and you got to tell us useful story! :2thumbs:
Thanks for reminding us why BRP does build Sea Doos!

Checked the oil today washed all the river crap off her and took it very very easy 40 mile ride!!! So far so good time will tell. I got very luck that I did not get hurt or hurt the spyder and like Bob said now I have a story to tell.
