• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NOT A MPG QUESTION BUT...

How does the gas gauge on a 2012 RT work? Here's why I ask. I was rear ended last month and when I got hit i swear I had three bars on my digital gas gauge.
When I limped home (not in imp mode) it showed only one bar and my light went on. Now jump to today, Bike is fixed and was riding on freeway today cruising along about 70 mph when I lost power. It would surge and scared the :cus: out of me. Pulled over and bike seemed to run fine, drove on for about 2 more miles and bang.... ran out of gas. Still had three bars when it started acting up and then it just dropped to no bars and light popped on. Got some gas and all seems good. I am wondering could that jolt i got in the rear end have anything to do with the screwy gas gauge all of a sudden?

GAS GUAGE

Absolutely !........Have the insurance carrier get it re-paired ......or you will have to....and at your expense.

Looks like..!!

some damage to the sending unit. You need to get it checked out. Your only other option is to go by the trip meter. But by all means, if insurance covered the repairs, have it fix and claim it...

...supplemental claim for previously undscovered damage...
This one is so easy to miss, and completely understandable...

UPDATE< SORT OF: After I ran out of gas, of course i filled up. That was 92 miles ago and gauge still shows FULL tank. Do have to get it fixed. Thanks for all your advice.

You should see gauge movement within 25-30 miles or less. Get it fixed!
