• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Northeast foliage ride yesterday

Yesterday was a great day to be out on ride, so I headed northeast and took in a few hours of riding. The colors in this region is getting near peak in most places, but still a very colorful area to view the scenic back drops. Soon these mountain peaks will be seen white in color. I had a relaxing ride, which started out a little chilly, but it warmed up enough to the point where I had to stop and take off the Firstgear heated jacket liner. It was too warm for me to wear after about an hour into my ride. I will most likely still ride until the snow flies, and then the spyder will hibernate for the winter and then it's...SKIDOO Time!

We just did a quck "Peep some leaves" run up into the hills...
Moore Hill
Glade Hill
South Hill
East Mountain
These all sort of surround the Rondout Reservoir...
It was only about 35 miles or so, but we were pretty deep in the colors! It seems as of a lot of the tress are hanging onto their colors quite a bit later this year... and we still saw a lot green leaves; just waiting to bust loose!
(No pictures : I forgot the camera! :opps: :banghead:)

Thanks for the pictures!

In central Vermont there are still some color, but getting close to past peak foliage color. Deanna

I always like the fall rides. I like it crisp and cool with less bugs to spatter on the windshield or face shield of a helmet. The fall colors in the New England and New York have been awesome this year!

Catskills

Out riding myself with Roger and Shane through some of the Catskills and ended up at Hunter Mountain for Octoberfest. Road through Peekemoose on the way home and would say colors were at peak. Took the bikes this trip. Some of the old timers would remember Roger, he's on a Vstrom now.

Beautiful, but kinda sad....

The scenery is absolutely beautiful! But it makes me kinda sad for all our friends/riders who must soon put their rides to bed for the long winter...I left my snow shovel in Colorado in "05. :doorag:
