• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The following is a list of definitions for new Spyder owner:
Noob- a new spyder owner, not to be confused with:
Roob- a Tri Glide owner.
(to) Ryde- to operate a Spyder, not to be confused with:
(to) ride- which is what motorcyclists, equestrians and bus passengers do.
Frunk-the front trunk of a Spyder.
Tupperware-the plastic body panels.
Nanny- the VSS, our electronic Mother, who disapproves of spirited ryding, and sometimes intervenes.
Using Body English-aggresive ryding in 9 out of 10 Canadian provinces. (Term not approved for use in Quebec.)
(to) Butt-shift- to slide one's posterior toward the inside of a turn during hard cornering, in the hope of frustrating Nanny.
Two-cheeker-a hairpin turn (see also: to butt-shift).
GS- an early model RS.
Out of lane excursion- a thrill that was provided, free of charge,by BRP to GS owners. Since rescinded by steering unit recall.
BRP- the makers of Spyders; also, a sound made by sufferers of gastric ailments..
Essie- aka Thumbshifter- an SE5.
Farkels- aftermarket accessories.
Boat- a loaded RT. Requires few farkels.
Spyderlover - an arachnophile; also a motorsport enthusiast of refined taste.

Neez, hope you and the little lady are keeping warm this winter. Want to wish you a very Happy New Year. Deb and I hope to make it to the BRP event in Colorado in 2012. If you guys think about going maybe we can travel together. Keep it in mind.

Premiere Edition = The first ever Spyder. You will identify this Spyder by the unique badging located on the handlebars indicating what number Spyder you own of approx. 3600 + made.

This Spyder is a 08 GS and can never be duplicated. It is believed that the GS stands for GOD SPYDER which many also know as the creator of all Spyders. The RT tried to carry this same PE label in 2010 and consumers quickly realized it was a fake copy of the 08 model GS which already carrys the label. If you are one of the lucky ones to own this numbered Spyder you can estimate the value of the 08 PE Spyder with that of a new current year production Spyder.

There are identical #'s for the 2010 RT's PE in US, EU and Australia. Clones? :joke: [I called it "not-entirely serious (but not entirely joking either) PE numbering plan].
