No sound using mp3 on my new to me 2018 Spyder RTL?!?

I tried to connect my MP3 player to 3.5 mm in frunk but get no sound through speakers. Any help would be appreciated.

Just purchased 2018 Spyder RTL and getting use to it. Connected my MP3 player to 3.5 mm connector in frunk but get no sound through speakers. Any help would be appreciated.

Switch to AUX in audio menu?

I have a 2014 RT Ltd and got the harness Finless Bob makes that Motorcycle Dave sells and it works great with my Ipod touch (4th gen) and bluetooth Dongle for both myself and my wife to listen with bluetooth

The 2018 and newer models use the smartphone for music other than the FM. It's possible the phone jack can be used with an iPod or similar using the AUX. Make sure the music is playing and all that first. The USB's in the trunk are power only. Pairing to the bike gets you music from the phone. Tutorials on Youtube.

Thought I did that but went to garage and hooked up player and it worked just fine. Thank you very much for your help
