• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No SITA this year

we're in any weekend that works for you guys. more activity on lake George in august. a lot of activity dies out up there on labor day. doesn't mean we couldn't still have a great weekend. the foliage is probably just starting up there around that time in September.

There certainly where enough people there to justify it. Who ever runs with this needs to get the town involved. While I was there last year and talking with hotel staff and store keepers no one knew what was going on with all these funny looking bikes. Most if not all said they would like to get involved, reserve rooms special rates etc, welcome spyders, be involved in any events.

SITA was so much fun but it was disorganized, I can not organize my sock draw so I can not offer anything other than support and I'm wiling to pitch in time and effort.

We need some one like pitbull who as experance in what it takes to run one of these event to chime in. Pitbull you've got nothing going on at the moment apart moving, opening up a new dealership and running spyderfest, can you squeeze in a North East event. :roflblack:

Harry
I agree Harry was great to see all the Spyders and we had a great riding group, but the rides and everything else was not very organized!:banghead: Mostly any gatherings were organized by the individual groups. Although Robert sport did a good job of hosting us! It was fun for our first event, but spydermania in Joliette Quebec was much more organized. Looking forward to Magog this year and hope to see some of you there! Time for some Spyderlovers influence in Lake Placid??

Just got back from a planning board meeting and I see you have things all planed, great.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:Peak fall colors in Lake George are the second and third week in Oct, however trees are starting to turn mid Sept. Bob I agree with the NY Spyder rider thing as being the host club, but anyone that wants to help should by all means. Planning should start happening soon. Work is starting to pick up for me and summer is almost impossible so Randy I like your Sept dates. I would bring my RV to LGRV park and make it the host site for camping. Hotels, pick of the litter there. Another good reason for LG, we already know the best rides.

Not sure, but I am gauging from last years dates and think it might be July 12,13,14. I will post if I see any definite dates and info.;)

Hey Netminder, don't want to get this thread of topic but its related as we can all go to Magog instead of SITA.

I posted on club-spyder face book page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Club-Spydercom/ asking about the event, I got this back.

Spyderfest le 12, 13 et 14 juillet 2013 !! ( Magog )

I assume as I don't read french, that this mean its on for July 12-14th .

Will start booking hotels. Although I must return home late Saturday night, I have to fly off Sunday morning 14th from Boston for a business trip

Spoke to Ed by email tonight. He is the one doing a Spyder event in Maine at Mooselodge. He is looking for help getting things going vendors, etc.. Told him we wouldn't mind helping out with phone calls etc... He is planning a passport ride, events, and hoping to get vendors to join as we'll. Maine is beautiful to ride in as well :)

NorthEast

The Northeast needs something ....Americade is OK, but it's really a Goldwing thing ....Laconia ditto only it's Harley's ........S.I.T.A. was Spyders......But like Spyderfest it was really the people, the comaraderie, the camping, the Gouda, the sweet red wine etc etc........So Randy ....Me and Dee are definately IN.:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes::2excited: :agree:
I agree with Blueknight911. We do need something in the Northeast. Deanna777 :ohyea:

Sorry ! Not much help up here .What ever the NY Spyder Ryders decide we are in . Besides I need to see Randy,I got a wack of soup cans I saved over the winter.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I've been on trike talk forum much longer than I've been on here and am signed up for their event, and mentioned to that group that folks here are looking for a SITA alternative.
Their event is a weekend event with a smaller group and they are not able to support a large influx of riders at this time.
The point of contact, John Luciano is willing to share any event/area information if folks here wanted to organize a companion event.
