• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No semis on the Dragon, please!

misguided semis

I've came across semis at least 3 times while riding the dragon , all before the ban. Two were coming towards me and one in front of me ...........stuck on a hairpin. All were scary .

DRAGON

I think the problem is caused by GPS use......Truckers use GPS a lot and it sends them onto it. It happens a lot in Vermont on 108 thru the " NOTCH " ...trucks and buses are always getting stuck there............Big fines fines are issued also.........Mike

It doth appear, when one can not do anything else, they drive a truck!:yikes:

RE: GPS/Truck Drivers: GPS can be your friend or not. Not recommended for secondary road travel in Alaska. You may end up on a logging or mountain goat trail.

That said: semis on the Dragon would be a scary situation considering the amount of traffic. This one seems like an isolated incident now--but another thing to be aware of in your defensive driving strategy.

Did I see a police or ranger vehicle go by, heading towards the truck just before the accident? If it was, wonder why the truck was not stopped then?
