• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fella learned an expensive lesson lucky to be alive

At first viewing, that motorcyclist was EXTREMELY LUCKY to survive that!! :yikes:

However, looking at it a few more times, I'd suggest that probably the only reasons the rider did survive were that:

1. the relative speed between him & the truck he ran up the back of weren't any greater than they already were;
2. he was unconscious but still draped over the front of the bike effectively from the moment of impact, so he didn't try to recover/get out of the way/move unpredictably; and
3. the astonishing speed of reaction and the consummate driving skills of the Trucker who could've so easily just been a tad slower in reacting and so treated the rider & his bike like a speed bump, but instead maneuvered juuuust enough to the left to avoid turning the rider & bike into a smear of red tire-jam and crushed metal on the road, and by doing what he did but only what he did, almost avoided him, which certainly saved the riders life - and it looks like the Trucker did what he did without taking out the black truck &/or any other of the vehicles around them, avoiding any over-reaction that would've caused a much greater crash/jack-knifing or otherwise reacting in any way that likely would've written off ALL of the vehicles around them and some of the following vehicles too! :yikes:

Kudos to that Trucker, and I'm so sorry that now he, the Trucker, hasta live the rest of his life with those images seared into his brain! :cus:

There's no point in that rider ever buying a Lottery Ticket again, cos he's clearly used up all HIS quota of 'Luck' &/or his cat's 9 lives and then some!! :rolleyes:

Stupid hurts!! It makes me realize how lucky I have been over my many years of riding. Because I hate to admit it but I have been stupid in my younger years.

Where was the camera mounted that took this video?

If you look at the shadow of the bike earlier on in the vid, you can see that the camera is mounted on a pole or boom sticking up & out about 3 feet from the back of the bike somewhere... maybe off a carry rack or the back of the seat. :thumbup:

The pictures recorded from a pole/boom mounted camera like that will conveniently leave out any images of things that are that close & down that low below the lens tho, so it looks like the vid is being taken by a drone flying 3 feet above & just behind the bike. ;)
