• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No more going in frunk to turn phone back on after stops

Most of you might know this already, but I just figured it out and hope it can help some other people with the same problem! Every time I stop to get gas or ?, I have to restart my phone to get BRP connect to sync up again. Not a big deal, but really annoying.
I bought an extended length cable to fit into the frunk phone port, but ran it up through the top of the frunk and out the space just below the windshield, and onto the dash. This gives me plenty of cable to attach to my phone I have on my dash mount. It also gives me a charging option if I want to use my phone for maps, music, or just a phone! Here are some pic's, hope it helps somebody:

I knew about the ports in the trunk, was not aware of any in the frunk.

Where?

.

:agree: I do have an aftermarket 12 volt adapter plug installed beneath my right side console speaker. A handy and easily accessible location which basically suggests it was placed there by previous owners for charging their phones, etc. I'm not sure of any in the Frunk.

So as curiosity would have it, it got the best of me at this moment. I went out and took a quick look to see if indeed there was one in the Frunk. Nothing in Frunk!

Possibly, it's just certain years that have them. Would have been a nice addition having an extra one.

I did the same thing with my 2018 RT as it was a pain to get the phone switch back to the BRP C app. Since the updates, the phone only has to be unlocked as it will work with any app open. SO I have my phone set to never lock and I got used to hitting the power button when putting it in my pocket.

Putting it on the dash also made it easier to get at. Also, when the apps have a hiccup or two I can use the phone as a GPS.

(The USB in the frunk is for the 2018 or newer models.)

If your rt is pre-18 it is on the right side of the frunk/ battery. Look behind the liner and there is a rubber knock out abut I inches down. Simply buy a BRP power port or usb and plug in. The connectors are zip tied behind. I had to remove my frunk to attach.

I added the Ciro Cybercharge to my bars. The cable hooks up to the battery and cord into the charger. No more wires to mess with every time I place my phone in the cradle.
The only issue I had with installation was, the mount was 1 1/4” which was a tad too large for the bars. To solve, I simply wrapped a small piece of rubber around the bar. The mounts is perfect and works like a charm! FYI - they do have a smaller clamp, tho I didn’t want to wait for the return/reorder process as I needed it NOW! ;)
