• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No More Belt Squeaking

I spent some time this morning re-aligning my rear tire to eliminate the squealing of the belt.
It was rubbing the flange on the sprocket so hard it actually wore the tooth pattern into it.
I also maintained the right amount of belt tension while doing so. The first thing I noticed was
the (36mm) nut torque was no where near the recommended 160 Ft.Lbs of torque. It loosened too easily.
Next with the rear wheel off the ground, I pulled the belt away from the flange (as I spun the wheel) until it was flush with the
outside of the sprocket. I then spun the wheel again and within about 2-3 revolutions of the wheel the belt went right back over
to the flange side. That told me it was way out. I made most of my adjustments on the right side adjusting bolt to
minimize changes to the belt tension and get it to track off the flange.
After making each adjustment and re-torquing the nut it was out for a test drive. The belt doesn't track the same when spinning
the wheel by hand as it would going 60 MPH for several miles down the road.
3 more adjustments and test drives and now the belt is away from the flange. The other thing I noticed was the steering
doesn't pull to the right anymore!
I just had the rear tire put on by the dealer 1400 miles ago. :(
Glad I did this myself.

Yeh, wouldn't want to mess up that recent alignment!! Glad you got it corrected.
