• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No horn...

Country Spyder

New member
So I had fog lamps and the 12v plug installed at the dealer 3 days ago.....I was out riding today before the weather gets crappy.........and no horn......????? I am going to head back to the dealer next week, but has anyone heard of this????

Also anyone have serious issues with the Hindle exhaust? I currently have stock and am looking for something new, but I don't want super loud...

Pull the left front side panel along the trunk.

I'll bet that during the fog lamp kit install they forgot to plug the horn wires back on the horn.

Don't ask me how I know this can happen. :opps:  :banghead:

LOL Lamonster ..... that is cheating !!!! You take all the fun out of trying to figure out how we are gonna reconnect that damn wire back without taking the horn off.

NO Horn

Now would be a good time to replace that factory horn with an air horn. It took me less than 30 minuts to put one on the wifes:spyder2:.

It is in the installation doc to unplug the horn when installing the 12v connector. I am sure they did not plug it back in. I love my horn, use it all the time because I drive around a bunch of idiots. If I am driving 90 on the left lane..do you really think it is such a smart move to get in front of me. Just need some cannons on the front and I will be set.

Is the air horn louder? Did it fit onto the same spot? What is the brand? I am thinking about doing the same thing.

OH Yeah it louder. 138 db. I was able to fit it in the same spot with a little modification to the factory bracket.
I got it at twistedthrotttle.com, the brand name is STEBLE, ( the spelling may be wrong). It was like $39, and I also got the plug and play wire harnes they sell.

This is the second bike I put one on. Really wakes up the people on their cell phones.

If you're doing 90 on the left lane, what does that make you? You are breaking the law, endangering your life and others, and setting a bad example for other Spyder riders. Nuff said.

:agree: In fact, in my SUV, pulling in front of a Spyder wouldn't be a problem at all...it would certainly be more of a problem for the Spyder...

Some of us ride a little faster, some ride a little slower. Let's not be too judgmental of our fellow SpyderLovers. :)
