• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No expensive Bluetooth dongle needed

Congratulations on your new ST Limited. Hope to see you down the road soon.

Only downside I found is you can't change your song or station from the factory controls. Has to be done from your phone

That's a great idea. But so as to avoid confusion, what you have is a neat little Bluetooth receiver that feeds music INTO an iPOD dock speaker with a 30 pin connector. By plugging that into your Spyder iPod cable, you were able to feed the output from any other BT device into your Spyder's entertainment system.

The "more expensive" Sena BT dongle that is most commonly talked about here serves the opposite purpose. It takes the OUTPUT from the Spyder's entertainment system and transmits it to a BT headset. Just clarifying this for others who might be a little confused about what this dongle does.

That's not to say that you didn't make a very useful discovery. You certainly did. Enjoy the music on your new Spyder. :2thumbs: If that's a picture of it in your avatar, it sure is a good lookin' ST.
