• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

no ethonol gas

What..!!

it does them a world of good. Most of us hunt those stations that sell gas with no ethanol rather than run additive to prevent the damage ethanol produces...

I don't think any vehicle runs better on ethanol blended fuel. Your Spyder will run better and most likely get better fuel economy on REAL gasoline.

I also use http://pure-gas.org/

I used http://pure-gas.org/ and found a station in my little town of 6 stoplights. They have been in business for 20 years. I hope to continue using their gas (no additives)

That's all my spyder drinks. I have 2 ethanol free/marine gas stations within 5 miles from where I live.

Ethanol fuel is very destructive. Not to mention more expensive to produce and takes about 10% more to go the same distance.

So, you can either eat your corn or burn it. Burning corn (while many in the world go hungry) makes more sense to the government and that is why we have it.

I think that Non-Ethanol fuel is probably the only thing Spyder Ryders don't disagree about.

Why Joe! I think you're on to something here! All of us can agree on 2 things! Spyders are GREAT and Non-Ethanol fuel is, by far, the better way to go!

I think the unity ends at this point though!

Sadly, this is true, can we talk about tire pressures for the Spyder??? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Tire pressures!? That's small potatoes. Now OIL! That's where you can get some REAL Warm Fuzzy conversations going!

We are instructed to use premium for our Spyders. The no-ethanol stations I have seen have only one grade of fuel. I take it from these comments that the no-ethanol grade is OK?

I prefer .............(notice i did not say recommend) .................. Non-Ethanol at any grade over Ethanol fuel .............ie: i will use regular Non-Ethanol before i use premium Ethanol.

BRP seems to want us to be concerned about octane; not ethanol... :dontknow:
I'll choose octane first; and then look for the ethanol-free options...
There are very few places around here, where we can get fuel without ethanol...
When I tried it out in Missouri three years ago; it DID make the bike run better, and get better economy! nojoke

I run non-ethanol 90 octane in my STS, it runs great! I also use the same gas in both cages, and all my yard equipment. I got tired of replacing the fuel lines on all my
small engines; string trimmer, leaf blower... I've not replaced a fuel line since switching non-ethanol gasoline.

The EPA is trying to increase the percentage of ethanol in gasoline from 10% to 15%. The AMA (American Motorcycle Association) is trying to fight against this and is trying to keep the percentage of ethanol the same or less than 10%. GO AMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first got non-ethanol fuel at Spyderquest in September; it was relatively easy to find in that part of upstate New York. I did notice a difference (I think.)
