There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. put the new NMN long brake peddle cover on at work yesterday so i didnt get a chance to use it till last night and this morning .... it is great i like the longer peddle makes it easier and more comfortable to use plus NMN added some small metal allen head studs to give you better grip and those work great also.. thanks again Evan for not only making a cool looking product but in my opinion safer, and more comfortable to use.... ......:2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

I too finally got to ride the my Spyder with the longer pedal cover on the main brake position. All I can say is wow!

I knew it would be better when we designed it but the difference and ease to now use the brake is better than I had hoped for.

This one of those items that I think will turn out to have as much effect in another area (like braking ease) and not just style like our ESI risers did for handling, not just comfort.

Here is my cheap and tacky homemade version of a pedal extender. A short piece of 1/4 x 1 inch flatbar. Not only easier and more comfortable from the stock peg, but it allows me to use my heel to brake from my forward peg.

Grammar and Spelling

and no one else on this forum noticed either....so i'm in good company ....:shemademe_smilie:

Actually tat, pretty well all Internet forums are rife with spelling and grammatical errors. I see 'em all, but never comment on them. I have frequently seen "brakes" spelled "breaks", "while" spelled "well", and many, many more. Speaking for myself, I'm not the grammar police, so I just ignore the errors and read on.

Glad you like your brake pedal - peddle - petal, whatever... :D

Cheers,

Bruce

Do you all ride with your foot over the pedal or to the side? I can't comfortably keep my foot over the pedal so I keep it off to the side and lift it up and to the left when I need to brake. I looks like the extender might make this harder?

I ride where it is comfortable. For most bikes this will probably be to the side. This is especially true if you have setback footpegs. The further back they sit, the harder to keep your foot over the brake without activating it.

Nope it makes it easier as you don't have to rotate it as far inboard.

Just got back from having the update done and after another ride I can tell you it is way easier because I didn'tt have to rotate my foot as far inboard which made it far easier on my bad knee.

Now that I have one would not go back to stock for all the tea in China.

Actually, it's way easier with the extender. No leg lifting or twisting. I simply pivot slightly on my heel when using the stock pegs. It was one of the cheapest mods I have done, but it has been the best in terms of riding comfort. In my case, I have had both knees replaced and this mod relieved my knee pain and leg cramps. I might try the new long peg cover though, it looks way nicer.

Can you post a direct link to this pedal extender?

I am very interested in this and some other foot peg setups as well.

Sorry there is not a link yet, these just got done and although we have some here now they might not be able to be gotten on the site before we leave for Daytona as it's "all hands on deck' to get ready to leave this Friday.

If you need more infor, or would like to order some before we get them up please just call us. (518) 527-9722

However, the extended ones are all almost gone already and we have more in the process but threy wont be here for a bit.

brake pads

MagicMan, are the pads for the stock, not the long ones, the same thickness or thicker? I have the Sioux City floorboards and would like to find a little thicker brake pad so I can leave my foot on floorboard and use heel to brake with. As it is know, I can slow the bike down with the heel, but can not quite stop it, if pad were thicker I would have more leverage.:dontknow:
