Newbie with questions on ordering a 2022 model

Well, the decision has been made. We are ordering a 2022 Ryker Sport!

I'm starting to talk to local dealers to get pricing. So far, one quoted me $14.2k out the door, on a MSRP of $11.6k!

If you take away the 6% sales tax, that's a markup of $1800. Ewwwww.

Anyone know if the guys at iMotorsports still waive the freight and setup fees?

Thanks,
EV

Last I heard, Yes. Give them a call. You will not be disappointed. Make sure you tell them you are from Spyderlovers. And they deliver free to your door.

The sport. I wanted a rally but I just couldn't live with those wheels. And even though they offer a black option, they were not great looking either IMHO. Plus, I have an ADV bike if I want to go off road. Most of the dealers around me were offering 10% on accessories. So it was nice that the one with the lowest OTD price, also had the best discount.

The wheels remind me of a coffee cup lid.

I just pre-ordered a 2022 also. After about a week of searching all the local dealers, the best deal I could find was $ 600 over MSRP and that includes tags, title, freight, assembly, etc.

Did that also include your sales tax? If so, I think you got a really good deal....

Thanks,
EV

No. I didn't include tax since we all gotta pay that. I just included the stuff that all the dealers seem to set at whatever number works for them. All of the dealers around me charged between $ 250 - 300 for tags / license. It was the freight and dealer set up that varied so much.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm getting quotes from anywhere between $1k and $1850 over MSRP.

Think I need to negotiate a little harder..... :lecturef_smilie:

Well, it's officially official. We just ordered our 2022 Ryker Sport this evening! A big thanks to everyone who responded with info and advice.

Called iMotorsports in Chicago, but their price wasn't that good. Called around and wound up going with a local dealer who was very fair and straightforward.

Was able to pick which month I wanted it built/delivered, so I picked March, when the weather starts getting better.

Hard part now is the wait!

Thanks,
EV

Just wondering if you told iMotorsports that you are a Spyderlovers member?

Yep, sure did. Didn't seem to matter, as their price quotes had over $1300 of dealer fees...

Place I went with charged me only $600, and gave me 10% off accessories, so I basically got the same deal that rjarcy did.

Thanks,
EV

I did ...After waiting a week for a call back, the price was no better than a local dealer. I did soooo much better
my 600 was just over $3,000.00 incl. tax. I had a Ducati trade in.:ohyea:

Good to hear EV! Looks like we are getting the new rides about the same time. Should be a fun spring!
