Bought a 2010 Spyder, added a Hindle slip on. Bike then started blurping and farting a little. Then at about 400 miles, I added the exhaust wrap on the left pipe, now it runs like crap! Temp gauge never gets over 2 bars, and it backfires very bad and falls on its face when you try to accelerate. Made an appt with dealer to have 600 mile service done. They are telling me that I must add the "juice box" to correct this problem. Is this true? Anyone else had these issues? Thanks.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Put Evolution's 0-2 modifier with your hindle install...will solve the problem...I would recommend going with a performance air filter also to complete your upgraded exhaust/performance.

:congrats::welcome: It should run fine as it is ! Now if you added the juice box and the hindle with the performance air filter like myself and others we where getting backfireing on de-cel and then added the o2 modifier and all was well .
Thanks for the quick response. I did check plug wires and all connections that was around that area. Found nothing lose or undone. Have also noticed since wrapping the exhaust that it has progressively worsened with more miles I put on it. Took a short ride tonight, temp gauge was fluctuating between 2 and 5 bars intermittently. What is the 0-2 sensor fix?

First of all Grizzly, don't listen to these know it alls. Make sure it was the Spyder and not you Blurping and Farting. Can't always blame it on the Spyder. Just kidding all, looking for an exhaust myself and had to comment on his description. Always look for their input as these are a great bunch of people. Welcome to the club.

:agree:And i would also check the wire that gos to the oxygen sensor,and the sensor it self [plug end]

You should get a juice box regardless...however, your issue sounds like a more serious issue. The hindle should not create an issue as the bike maps the new exhaust if you condition it properly (instructions come with the hindle). Even if you didn't, the bike should adapt, with time. If you're losing power, I'm with Scotty on this...check what creates the power...plug loose?

In that case, you have checked both ends of the plug wires, and you are absolutely sure the wire insulation isn't cracked, I would do as Boborgera said and chech the O2 sensor wire. Also any vacuum hoses. Then I would pull the plugs and take a look, to see where the problem lies (one cylinder or two, fouled, lean, etc.) and go from there. A juiceBox won't cure the severity of problems you have. Something else is wrong besides lean mapping.

I had the same problem on my RS, until I broke down and purchased the Juice Box, Green filter, and ram air tube. After that, all was well. I never messed with the O2, nor had to.

I ended up going with the Evoluzion O2 modifier. If it were me I'd go ahead with your 600 mile service. If your still having issues after that, try the O2 modifier. This mod has serve a lot of people well.
'09 SE5 - Yoshi pipe, Can Am upgrade seat, tank bag, trunk liner, billet handlebar inserts & upgrade grip w/grip puppies, K&N air filter, Evoluzione Swaybar, fog lights, CalSci Windshield, Spyder Detailing/Peter Grant Graphics Kit & Extreme Kempy License Plate light. That's it so far. 6,000 mile oil change tomorrow. I'm gonna start running AMSOIL 10W 40 Synthetic.

First off, thanks to all who responded.just got home from 3 hour trip to dealership,1 and a half hours both ways. The mechanic did the routine 600 mile maintenance as well as checked both plugs. Both were replaced at his recommendation. Now the bike runs like a scalded dog. So apparently, the combination of adding the Hindle and wrapping the pipe caused the plugs to foul prematurely or he said they could have been bad from the factory and it took some time for them to foul out.
