• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newbie Question re Vibration

I'm still new to the Spyder, having had my RTL for 3 months and a little over 1,500 miles.

I notice something that may or may not be a problem. On the interstate, if I start up a hill, there is a vibration that I think comes from the drivetrain. As soon as I crest the hill, the vibration disappears.

Does anyone know what causes this??

:agree: But tell us more about the vibration...
At what speeds does it occur?
What gear are you in?

The drivebelts will often set up a harmonic vibration at speeds in the 75 mph range (give or take a bit...)

But if you're cruising at a relatively low speed in top gear (say about 38 to 40 mph): the drivetrain will vibrate a bit if it's under a load...

feel it through the foot rest

I usually feel the vibration through the foot rest at crusin speed of 55 or so ! when the throttle isn`t giving much push , just easing down the highway , you can roll on the gas a bit and it goes away , this is the belt drive , lopking at doc`s damping system at some point in time !
