• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wanted to say Hi. Just picked up a used 2014 RT Limited so I'm sure I'll have some questions. Already learned a lot from this site.

Gotta go now and get some seat time while the weather is nice.

Congratulations

Congratulations from the UK. Newbie myself and learning new things from the site everyday.

Last couple days have been a get to know the New Kid experience. Found it to be way to sensitive in the steering area. Being an old race car guy I checked the alignment and surprise, surprise it was toed out. Wrench time, fixed that, problem solved. I plan on getting it dialed in with a laser alignment in the not too distant future but for now it's close. Found that who ever designed the location for the rear tire valve must have been doing drugs, had to make up a tire filler tool to make the job reasonable. I'll post pics and a description of what I came up with later. Weather report says we are supposed to have a few Super nice days so I hope to get some more seat time. Having a ball on this thing. Glad I sold my Harleys and bought this little guy. :D:D:yes::yes:

Oh yeah when I said used, it had 1425 miles on it.:yes:

Welcome to the Clan. So glad you could get a gently used "triple". They are insanely good, and I'm glad
I waited for one. You think you're impressed now, but just wait until you've put on a good load of miles.
The journey just gets better and better.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome, think I'm in trouble. Looks like a seriously fun group. Let the good times roll.

Welcome to the life of spyder piloting. I'm new to the platform and group as well. Traded in a Fatboy for an ST-S. Live in northern VA just south of DC. If your in the area on a ride, look me up. I've been disowned by several two wheel riding partners so I am always willing to meet new people to ride with.:yes:

Went riding with a small group today. I was the new guy in the group and the only one with a Spyder. Managed to hang with them in some seriously twisty stuff but I have to admit I did have to work at it. Anyway we did about 180 miles and overall I had a ball on the RT. Couple things I think I'll be looking at are the sway bar, maybe front shocks and I hate the brake pedal location. Just making a list of things to deal with over the winter at this point. All in all it beats the 2012 Harley Road Glide Ultra that I had all to H--L.

More work in the twisties on the spyder then a motorcycle for sure.

Spent 4hrs in the twisties with motorcycles. Was tired after :yikes:

Started playing with a mock up of the brake pedal mod that I plan on doing. Cut out some card board templates just to give me some ideas. Gonna play with it a little more then fab one up out of steel. I'll probably need to add an extra return spring. I'll keep you posted on the results.
