• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newbie Alert. :)

Welcome to SpyderLovers Socal-Mark. :congrats:

If you needed the O2 modifier, its available through Evoluzione.net or Kewlmetal.

Hi everyone Happy new owner of a Phantom Spyder she was born Red talked the dealer in to giving me the old kit so feel like I bought two bikes.

Decided on my exhaust which is the Hindle Performance, so does anyone have a good site for purchasing it.

Thanks

welcome

I just paid $429 (delivered) for my Hindle from an authorized dealer. Bone Crusher, and I both purchased from this very dealer. PM me if you are interested. Bone Crusher is the one that informed me of this great deal. :)

...AKA do I get the o2 sensor from the dealer.

Thanks

It's an O2 sensor ELIMINATOR from evoluzione.net... sends a fixed, richer "signal" to the fuel injection throughout the RPM range.

However, I'd wait to see if you need it. Like Lamont, mine's now off and in a box.

It's funny that cruiser guys want a closed loop with a o2 sensor in the pipes for tuning yet both you and I thought that it might be a good idea to get rid of the o2 sensor and just have a fixed signal on the Spyder. Guess we got caught up in the moment as they say.:opps:

Yepper... although, I was trying to fix the uneven idle... which eventually was fixed (among other things) with a new gear position sensor.

On the dual-side exhaust I'm getting ready to build (waiting for bits and pieces), I will put it back in for the first run. Then, I'll try a cross-over pipe... and a bung/sensor, if needed, but not necessarily in that order.

Just playing to see what works.

The O2 sensor has not been needed by everyone, may want to just try the hindle first....

I put a Hindle on, and do not need an O2 sensor, at least for backfires and uneven idling, it runs fine.

:agree:

I had a Hindle and my Spyder ran fine without the Evoluzione O2 modifier, which is what all thes people are referring to. My wife still has her Hindle on and her Spyder is running fine without the O2 modifier. I would only get one if you put an aftermarket exhaust on and you determine that your Spyder is not running right because the O2 sensor with the new exhaust is causing your Spyder to run too lean. Do not put the O2 modifier on your Spyder if you are running the stock exhaust, it'll ruin the catalytic converter.

ye haaa! love the sound of the rotax vtwin.
had beers to night, got to go now. happy friday
everyone ride safe.:2thumbs:

i will have to take out the hi flow filter to test out the o2 sensor by itself but i am very very very happy with it. :D i am so sorry i didnt get it 2 month ago when i got the hindle. i never had much of backfire issues with hindle or anything and this was purely for performance. it made sense that aftermarket pipe will make spyder run lean and i guess thats where that symptom i described as hindle sounding "dry" came from and o2 sensor seems to have cure that, big time!
with o2 sensor and hi flow filter i got a spyder and a half! well at least spyder and quarter :D:D:D:D:D
