In my opinion it takes nothing away from the passenger, it does give a nice zippered pocket for storage for the passenger though...

How tight the passenger seating is depends on the passenger. I believe most will be comfortable, but some might find it tight.

AWESOME BACKREST

I JUST FINISHED INSTALLING MINE TODAY ON MY 08 G/S...I WAS NOT GOING TO TAKE OFF THE SEAT COVER SO I FIGUERED OUT A WAY TO ATTACH IT FROM UNDER THE SEAT BY FABBING UP MY OWN BRACKET....I THINK I COULD ACTUALLY PICK UP THE :ani29: BY THE BACKREST WITH A HOIST , IT'S THAT FIRMLY ATTACHED...MIKE..:agree:.....:thumbup:

Utopia Backrest

My 2010 Blue RT SM5 will be getting a Warrenty seat this week plus the Backrest and with the new floorboards I'm ready for Cuba . I now have 20,000 miles on it and will be two years old at the end of July. Thanks BRP for a job well done .:2thumbs::f_spider:

Utophia Backrest

I just received my Utophia backrest yesterday and when my new stock replacement seat arrive it will get installed, Biting the bullet . I guess they have a recall on the RT seats.

I am getting ready to place my order today. Is the DELUX Cover worth the extra cost? The color doesn't appear to match the stock seat from the picture shown on the site.

I think it is more of a warranty item for the early 2010RTs, the seat will pull away from the Velcro connections. Initially, if you hada PE edition, you could not get the seat replace with the embroidered PEnumber, but they changed that and now you can. I know of several on the forum that has had it done.

Fuel door

I will be working on a fuel door prototype in hopes of having something ready for display by Spyderfest. I really didn't want to cut up MY seat so I am waiting to get a spare due this week.
