• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Ultimate tall boy seat

Hey Tommy, did you ever add the XM stick antenna? Sorry, just borrowed the thread for a minute.
HiYa Steve !!
Hope all is well.
Sorry, I haven't yet. Dealer installed the XM and I believe there was some issue with the antenna plug in.
So he just installed the regular antenna in the back upper trunk. LOL you just reminded me that I have to check into it with my mechanic
again about getting that stick antenna installed.

I bought the same antenna and was waiting to hear your results first. Ha. Things are good, thanks for asking.

We now return you to your regular program thread.

I have the Ultimate backrest and love it. I can't wait until you folks report on your new seat. I sit too close to the "dash" and bump my knees often. I am 6'4" and would like a seat that gives me more room. Wife does not ride so that is not a problem some of you might have.

I do not like to sit above my windshield and hope it would not be that high.

Does it come with a backrest? If not, I guess I could use my present one.

Could you share the cost of this new seat?

Thanks.

I found my answer and cost is around $845.

Our Spyder RT Tall Boy seat - will sit you at the same height and one and a half inches further back from the handlebars.

:clap: My Tall Boy was delivered yesterday & I installed it last night. Rode it today & "my butt feels like its gone to heaven". Glad I made the decision to go with it.

Just rode 160 miles on my new tallboy seat with backrest.
Foam is breaking in and is real comfortable. Love the backrest !!!

I talked with the shop in Daytona yesterday in my seat is there. I will go down Tuesday and take advantage of their free installation so I won't have to worry about losing pieces. I can't wait to start cruising with it on!

If remember right, it only took a week and a half to get it which is pretty good. Maybe one thing that sped the process up was that I ordered the seat without the door.

i got mine on 7/25 installed it with no problem it sits at the same hight and 1 1/2 inches back. I LIKE IT !!!! i ordered plain jane but it came with "ultimate" embroided on the butt bolsters. i did not specificaly say no embroidery so i will live with it, when the passenger back rest becomes available, i will order it without the embroidery. just my preferance thats all. it looks and feels great

Please post info and pictures when you get it installed and tested.

Well it took a full 4 weeks after my order, but its now here and on my Spyder. I have only been able to take a short trip with it of about 100 miles but the seat does seem to perform as advertised. The construction of the seat is of very high quality, the stitching and materials used are also of high quality. I had my dealer shop install the seat only because I didn't want to do it, didn't have time. The Tech was impressed with the seat, also says he has installed many after market seats and this one looks like a very nice one. The back rest fits very well and is very adjustable, the gas door is also very convenient. BRP should take notice of the back rests and gas doors, as an option on their touring units.

Pictures to follow soon........
