New Ultimate tall boy seat

I"m just about ready to order the tall boy seat from Ultimate seats which they just came out with and was wondering if anybody has installed one yet and if so what do you think of it. Seat has a lockable fuel door and driver back rest, something that BRP should offer on their bikes if they want to advertise their RT's as the ultimate touring machines, oh well thank you in advance Ultimate Seats:yes::yes::yes:

Just completed a 2700 mile ride on my new 2012 RT. Installed the standard Ultimate seat and backrest before I left. Seat is GREAT and was comfortable from day one! Had used ultimate seats on my Goldwings before; can't go wrong with them and much better than the Corbins, IMO. smooth riding. Guzzi

I've read that this seat will move you 2'' back. Will you also sit higher? I am strongly considering one of these seats. May I ask how tall you are? How does the gas door work?

I bought the Ultimate standard and it does set higher then the stock seat. I now after about 3 weeks I have to say it was worth every penny I paid for it.

when I made the order the girl told me that I was the third to order a tall boy, so there is another 2 seats out there somewhere, maybe we will hear from them at some point.opcorn:

The info I have read on the Tall Boy seat states it will move you back about 1 1/2 inches and is the same as the stock seat in height I'm 6 ft. but have always felt like I sit to far up and crowd the handle bars, the gas door is hinged to allow you access to the gas cap without lifting the seathyea::yes:

She told me, should be a couple weeks (talked to her Friday)but I should have it in time for Sturgis.
Told me she would call me when she gets more info.
They have to be close to being build time.
Des told me when I preordered it, he was hoping for the end of June.

Barbwire and I love Ultimate Seats very comfy. Never knew what was causing Barbwire pain until they showed us how your legs should be while sitting and how their seats address that issue.

It will most likely sit you higher, as the Spyder frame is slanted upwards towards the rear.

My BRP comfort seat does move you back and up. Better seating position, but also less protection from the winshield.

Ultimate seat

Well folks tomorrow will be 3 weeks ago that I ordered my new Tall Boy seat from Ultimate seats. I have talked to Libby in sales and have been told that the factory has had many per-orders and that mine is made and we are just waiting to be shipped. oh hurry up delivery!!!:2excited::gaah:​

I'm looking at getting the standard Ultimate seat since I don't want to take any space away from my wife in the back. I keep hearing good things about them so I'm hoping to get one ordered soon.

I just ordered one the beginning of this week. Should have it in a couple. I will let you know what's I get it on. Seemed like really great people. The tech guy was great.
