I was able to sell off the older model 1997 BMW F650 Funduro today to a young active couple. They are outdoor adventure types, and wanted a bike that was designed for them, the Funduro was a perfect fit, and they loved the test ride.
Long story short. I was able to gt the remaining items left in the tune for the RS-S on the way. I also got in some comfort items for my wife. I ordered the Air Intake and Filter with the noise reducing pre-filter from CnC Machine to complate the Stage Upgrades. I should be at Stage 2 or 3 for sure. Air, Intake, Module, ECU Flash (pending), aftermarket exhaust, there is no bypass on this model.
I also ordered the LaMonster Brand Brackets for the Highway Pegs. I got the rear peg ergo extenders for my wife (I have the Spear Arrow Mini Boards left over from the RIVCO Board INnstallation so my wife should be way more comfy back there now. She LOVES the stock seat. I had located the comfort one, but she gave it the thumbs down. I have pegs for the Highway Bar Brackets waiting from the failed RIVCO set.
I also scored a RIVCO Bar Riser set CHEAP at a Garage sale of all places, dude had sold his Spyder out last year in a neighboring city, figured he would toss them in the sale pile. BOOM!!!! Fitty Dahla!!!! Score!
I will be pulling the ECU to get it out in the mail tomorrow night, all I need now is the wrap kit. I found a shop that can and will change the colors on the "warplane" motif I selected to TAN AND GREEN...GO ARMY AIR CORP!!!!!
All I have for the night. We have had 55 degree and warmer weather the last two days. My legs are SORE from all the riding. I was even able to escort the buyers of my BMW out on their test ride, they loved the Can Am, but not as much as they loved their new to them BMW. It was a fun sale. I am really glad a bike I put over 500 hours into go to a good home where it will be used and appreciated, my kids did not give a ****, and had no interest in a rebuilt carbed thumper....not even a KTM one...idiots....
I FINALLY get to finish out the items I want on the RS-S before I hit the road this spring. All the stuff will be in soon, and I always love working on the trike. I even have more room in the shop now that the Funduro is gone.
