• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NEW TOURING WINDSHIELD

It's out...sorta...I am awaiting the price so that we can get the best deal possible...I'm still deciding between the CHAD and this one...will likely go with the BRP as it is a nice polycarbonate with some hand protection...

Motz, we have a good source so we should be able to get a great price...

I think they are out this month but>>>>>

When is Can Am releasing the new windshield? Tired of waiting
>>>>>at nearly three hundred dollars. I need to get back to Baker to see if they have any Spyder "Wings" yet. Figure with my CalSi they will have something that might work to give a varied wind choice for different seasons!

If it had been out last year I might have bought the BRP but I needed something bigger for winter. Also, I was not going through another Love Bug season with a short shield!!

Bones... let me know @ [email protected] thanks

My dealer said he should have them by the end of this month or begining of May. He also told me they will have 2 sizes. A 23 inch and a 25 inch. I will wait to see them and decide on which one I want.

List price for either will be approximately $300. That includes the wind deflectors on the body, which can't be purchased separately, and are supposedly essential for the BRP shield sysem to work properly.

CHAD list for the same price. The CHAD offers good hand protection, BTW. Had to put the stock windshield back on for the warranty claim, and the 35 mile ride in cool weather was not pleasant, after being spoiled by the CHAD. It really emphasized the difference! Thighs got more air, too.

Scotty, how good is the hand wind protection with the CHAD?

I have nothing to compare it to, in terms of other aftermarket offerings, but the CHAD does a pretty good job for the hands, IMO. Feeling for the force of the wind, it seems to be near the ends of the bars now. I did not ride in freezing weather, but found a 70 mile ride at Interstate speeds in the low forties, very comfortable in just my mid-weight gloves. With a stock shield, even my heavy winter gloves plus silk liners were not sufficient. Low forties with the stock shield killed my hands with mid-weight gloves and liners at 50 mph last fall on a much shorter ride.

I will have a price soon and it will be well below $300.00...what we have to do here is compare to the CHAD, which is a very popular windshield. If the price fits in well and the windshield meets/beats expectations, I'll likely go with the BRP product. The pictures of it are quite nice...they were listed by someone about a week ago...can't find the thread right now. I like that it offers some substantial hand protection...temperature doesn't bother my hands, it's the wind...take away the wind, and riding in lower temps gets a lot easier...

I'd probably have to go with the 25"...I'm 6'1"...

Will probably get price within 2 weeks...as well as for the other new BRP products...should be much better than what is listed other places...
